Aayush Sharma, who made his Bollywood debut with Salman Khan backed LoveYatri opposite newcomer Warina Hussain, has bid adieu to micro-blogging website Twitter. The 33-year-old actor was offended by a section of Twitter users who a disrespected a woman.
It all started when Aayush held an interactive session on Twitter where his fans were asking him all sorts of questions and he was happily answering them all. What happened next that a woman shared her opinion about Aayush which, for some reason, did not go down well with other users. Soon, the woman was targeted and mocked by a bunch of people.
Highly disgusted by their mean tweets, Aayush posted an elongated note on his timeline informing his fans that he is taking a break from Twitter.
Here’s what he wrote –
“Recently I had an interactive session with everyone on Twitter. I happened to come across a tweet reply where a girl was ridiculed and humiliated for having an opinion about me. This is unacceptable and I am strongly against it. I feel everybody is entitled to have their opinion and no fan, male or female should be disrespected for merely stating an opinion. Let’s be thoughtful before saying things on a public forum and not demean anyone. I am taking a stand on this one and have decided to hereby take a break from this platform. I’m asking all my dear friends to be pioneers of love & kindness always. Lots of Love, Aayush.”
Taking such a strong stand for a woman’s dignity is a sign of a true hero. We are on the same page as Aayush on this but we do hope that he makes a comeback on Twitter soon.
On the professional front, Aayush is said to be starring in a gangster film next which will also feature Sanjay Dutt.
