Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor have been pitted against each other since the very beginning. The two star kids, who made their Bollywood debuts in 2018, are often projected as rivals even though they have constantly refuted such talks.
The popular notion that two actresses of the same lot cannot be friends has been applied to Sara and Janhvi as well. But, if we go by what they have said in their latest interview, all of this is just media created and there is no such enmity between the two newbies.
While speaking to News 18, Sara and Janhvi opened up about their alleged rivalry and even narrated a funny incident related to it. Recalling an instance from the screening of her debut film Kedarnath, Sara said that Janhvi had come to watch the film and when the photographers started taking their pictures, the later told them that they will not have to make the collages anymore as the two of them are now in the same frame.
As Sara and Janhvi hadn’t appeared together in the public before that, the entertainment portals made collages to depict their animosity.
Janhvi, when asked about the comparisons with Sara, said that it only motivates her to learn from the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. The Dhadak actress is highly impressed with the way Sara conducts herself.
The debut films of both the actresses were a success at the box office and also fetched them positive reviews for their respective performances. While Janhvi started her career alongside Ishaan Khatter in Dhadak which was directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, Sara’s first film Kedarnath featured Sushant Singh Rajput and was helmed by Abhishek Kapoor.
Just three weeks after the release of Kedarnath, Sara was back on the big screen again with Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the cop drama is currently going strong at the ticket windows as it has already crossed the Rs. 150 crore mark.
Well, we know for sure that both Sara and Janhvi have a long way to go and we cannot wait to see what more they have in store for the audience.
