Akshay Kumar, who is essaying a villanious crowman in Rajinikanth starrer 2.0, recently shared his experience of working down south. The superstar seems mighty impressed with the way southern film industry functions as he said that people there are extremely hard-working and dedicated.
While interacting with the media as part of 2.0 promotions, Akshay said, “Technologically, South is more advanced than us. They are more professional than us. If the shoot time is 7:30, the shooting will start sharp on time. Here, 7:30 means you can come by 9:30. Their superstars arrive on time on set.”
Akshay also had a word of advice for all the budding actors. “You learn a lot. I sometimes feel a newcomer should do five films there and then come here. He or she will learn a lot. In a day, they take 30-40 shots. Here we manage around 12-13 shots. They don’t take other people for granted. They value other people’s time,” he said.
2.0, Akshay’s maiden venture down South, is Indian cinema’s most expensive film till date. The estimated budget of the Shankar directorial is said to be in excess of Rs. 550 crore.
Also featuring Amy Jackson, 2.0 has been shot in 3D and has hit the screens today. The critics have given a huge thumbs up to the sci-fi film which would certainly benefit its collection over the weekend.
